Miyazaki Beef is raised in an environment of mild weather, clean, crystal-clear limpid stream water, and clean air. The Miyazaki Wagyu brand name can only be applied to black-haired Wagyu born and raised in Miyazaki Prefecture which is located in Southern Kyushu and has the second-largest wagyu population in all of Japan.

Miyazaki Wagyu’s claim to fame is winning the National Wagyu Grand Championship in 2008 and 2013. Miyazaki Wagyu has global notoriety for a consistently high-quality product and is known for its brighter pink meat color interspersed with fine snowflake-like marbling.

*Only the Wagyu with BMS 6 or higher qualifies to be called Miyazaki Gyu.

Humane Treatment

  • Grain fed for over 650 days, with no animal protein and meat by-products mixed in the feed
